Blackberry Mercury leaked Specs:

We spoke about the MI 5C launch in our early posts. Now,before the unveiling of the Blackberry Mercury, the specs of the same has been leaked out. It is expected that the Blackberry Mercury will be borrowing the Google Pixel’s camera sensors, which is currently one of the best among all the smart phone cameras in the market, i.e Sony’s IMX378.

What’s particularly interesting about the IMX378 image sensor is that it’s the same one that featured in last year’s highly successful Google Pixel smartphone (and the XIamoi Mi5S, for good measure). That’s important because one of the most praised features of the Google Pixel is its camera.

Blackberry come back:

After so much of hues & cry, now Blackberry wants to make its next launch to be felt by the market. It looks like Blackberry has taken this as a serious business, for a change. Mercury is expected to have Android Nougat OS, out of the box. It will also feature with the USB Type-C port for connectivity.

Detail Specification:

OS Android Nougat
Keyboard Type Qwerty
Body type Metallic with rubber
Connectivity  USB Type-C Port
 Battery  3,400mAh

Mercury is also expected to be powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset or Snapdragon 625 chipset. In terms of RAM and storage, the BlackBerry Mercury is said to come with 3GB of RAM and onboard storage of 32GB. There is no word on a microSD slot as of now.

VERDICT:

Just because Blackberry is coming up with similar technical spec of any other high end smartphone out in the market, there is a strong doubt if Blackberry’s DNA will let them build a phone that is required in this era?

Will this Mercury raise the expectation barometer of today’s smartphone users?
